A brief history and a promise.

I took an interest in woodworking shortly after my wife and I had our twins and we moved into our first home. Having moved from New York City, we found ourselves in an unusual position. We actually had room for a workshop! What began as a hobby quickly became a passion and a garage space evolved into a professional shop.

Working with wood is often challenging and always rewarding. Being a natural material, no two pieces of wood are alike. Endless variations in color and grain orientation provide the woodworker with a tremendous palette with which to work. And, unlike mass-produced furniture, furniture made from solid wood and traditional construction will last a lifetime and becomes more beautiful with age.

From selecting the rough lumber at the hardwood dealer, to milling the wood, to hand-cutting the joinery, and carefully planing, sanding and applying an oil finish by hand, I personally perform every step of the process. I take the same pride in building a piece whether it’s for my family, friends, or a client, and I won’t let anything leave my shop until it meets both my standards and yours.
